Moises Caicedo reacts to Filip Jorgensen’s message after Chelsea exit update
Filip Jorgensen could be set to leave Chelsea this summer, and his recent social media post has caught the eye of Blues midfielder Moises Caicedo.
Jorgensen made the move to Stamford Bridge last summer from Villarreal, for a reported fee of just over £20million.
Last season, Robert Sanchez played the majority of games for Enzo Maresca’s side, but the Spaniard did fall out of favour over February, with the 23-year-old given a run in the team.
The Danish keeper made six Premier League appearances for Chelsea in the 2024/25 campaign, keeping one clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Southampton.

Jorgensen faces uncertain future
Maresca is looking to make changes to his goalkeeping department this summer, with Chelsea interested in bringing in Mike Maignan from AC Milan.
The Athletic reported on Tuesday (3 June) that the West London club may allow one of their three main goalkeepers to leave on a permanent basis, whether that be Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, or Jorgensen.
The incoming Mike Penders could leave Chelsea on loan in order to further his development
Amid the uncertainty around his club future, Jorgensen made his first-ever international appearance for Denmark, as the Scandinavian side beat Northern Ireland 2-1 in a friendly.
The Chelsea shot-stopper took to Instagram after the game to reflect on his debut, posting a photo of himself lining up before the match with the caption: “Proud moment to play my first match for Denmark. There’s something so special about wearing this shirt for the first time. Thank you fans for the support, it means a lot.”
Midfielder Caicedo liked the post, showing appreciation for his club teammate.
Chelsea making moves ahead of Club World Cup
Football Insider Verdict
Chelsea are making full use of the extra transfer window period ahead of the revamped Club World Cup, which begins next week (14 June).
The Blues have already confirmed the purchase of Liam Delap from Ipswich, after they triggered the £30million release clause in the striker’s contract.
Even if Maresca’s side bring in Maignan in the coming days, it is not expected to be the last incoming before they jet off to America.
Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, and it is believed that there is already an agreement between the club and the player.
Gittens scored eight goals in 32 appearances for Niko Kovac’s side in the 2024/25 Bundesliga campaign, and will be playing his football at Stamford Bridge next season if the Blues can agree a fee with Dortmund.
