Garry Monk has described Sheffield Wednesday as a “very good side” ahead of Saturday’s clash of the Yorkshire titans.
The Leeds manager gave his three-word verdict on his team’s opposition this weekend in a match that could have serious play-off consequences.
“Sheffield Wednesday are a very good side,” said Monk, as quoted by the personal Twitter account of Yorkshire Evening Post correspondent Lee Sobot. “But we have to remain focused on ourselves.”

Monk was speaking on Thursday as he previewed the Saturday lunchtime encounter at Elland Road, although he was reluctant to speak too much about the visiting team.
Leeds go into the match ahead of their derby rivals only on goal difference, with both teams on 58 points after 33 matches of the league campaign.
Monk’s side secured four points last week after a mini-dip in which they had lost consecutive league matches to Huddersfield and Cardiff, and were also dumped out of the FA Cup by non-league Sutton United.
By contrast, big-spending Wednesday, who signed Jordan Rhodes from Middlesbrough on a loan-to-buy deal on deadline day, won four consecutive league matches before coming unstuck in midweek, when they lost 2-1 at home to 14th placed Brentford.
