By Amir Mir

Garry Monk felt Leeds didn’t perform at their best on Saturday afternoon, but hailed the supporters for driving them to a 2-0 victory over Burton Albion at Elland Road.

Striker Chris Wood converted from the penalty spot late into the second-half, when substitute Souleymane Doukara drew a foul from Burton defender Ben Turner.

Doukara then made sure of all the three points, when he scored into stoppage time, as Leeds go ninth, with 15 points, one point off a play-off place.

There were 24,220 fans in attendance at the iconic stadium, as Monk’s side are now unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions on home soil.
