Defender Conor Masterson is attracting interest from more than 10 clubs as he prepares to quit Liverpool, Football Insider understands.
The 20-year-old will end his seven-year association with the Merseysiders when he is released next month upon the expiry of his contract.
A Liverpool source has told Football Insider there is widespread interest in Masterson from Football League and Scottish Premiership outfits after he learned he will not get a new deal from his current club.
Masterson joined the Reds from Dublin side Lucan United in 2012 and has worked his way through the club’s youth sides to the point where he was on the cusp of his senior debut.
The Republic of Ireland youth international was an unused substitute for the first team on three occasions, including in last season’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester City and the Merseyside derby at Goodison.
He has had a difficult season disrupted by injuries and has made only six starts among his 10 appearances in Premier League 2, the Under-23s division for rising stars of English football.
In other Liverpool news, it can be REVEALED that the club are about to pocket a jawdropping £242million.
