Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins respond passionately to Matty Cash’s Aston Villa message
Aston Villa players showed their support for Matty Cash as speculation over his future continues to grow.
Aston Villa narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification last season, and that setback appears to have had a knock-on effect on their transfer strategy.
As reported by Football Insider, Aston Villa may need to offload key first-team players in order to comply with UEFA’s financial rules, with Cash among those who could be sold.
Aston Villa are understood to be open to offers for Cash, and any funds received will likely be reinvested with in the sqaud. Several Premier League clubs have already enquired about his availability.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Cash gave fans a glimpse into his current mindset, sharing an update from training via social media.

Aston Villa stars respond to Matty Cash’s pre-season update amid transfer uncertainty
Cash shared multiple photos from Aston Villa’s pre-season preparations on Instagram, despite ongoing speculation over his future at the club.
The Polish international captioned his post simply: “First few weeks”, alongside a series of training photos from Villa’s return to Bodymoor Heath.
His update drew plenty of interaction from his teammates, with Morgan Rogers commenting: “My brother”, while Ollie Watkins, Youri Tielemans, and Boubacar Kamara all liked the post, showing their support.
While there’s clearly strong camaraderie within the squad, Cash’s future at Villa Park remains unresolved.
However, Cash’s wages may be a stumbling block for interested clubs, despite Villa making him for a transfer.
This comes after Football Insider revealed earlier last season, that Aston Villa had concerns with Cash, and now, the club are now understood to be seeking upgrades in that position.
Ollie Watkins to be costly deal for Man United

Despite Watkins publicly supporting Cash’s update, he too is the subject of transfer speculation this summer.
Football Insider revealed that Manchester United are monitoring Watkins as a potential target but will likely need to sell Rasmus Hojlund before making a concrete approach.
Finances could also complicate any deal. Former financial advisor Stefan Borson revealed that a transfer for Watkins could cost Man United close to £100 million once wages and fees are taken into account.
