Morgan Rogers and Reece James react to Cole Palmer Chelsea message

Chelsea star Cole Palmer posted on social media after helping his side secure a 2-1 comeback win over West Ham at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

The Blues fell behind early after Jarrod Bowen capitalised on a misplaced pass from Levi Colwill to give the visitors the lead.

However, Pedro Neto equalised in the second half before Palmer’s solo effort, which deflected off Aaron Wan-Bissaka, looped into the net to seal the victory.

Following the match, Palmer shared a collage of photos from the game on Instagram. His former Man City academy teammate Morgan Rogers responded with a heart emoji, while teammates Reece James and Marc Cucurella also showed their support by liking the post.

Chelsea must reignite season after comeback win vs Graham Potter and West Ham

It has been a difficult few weeks for Enzo Maresca’s side, with this victory marking only their second win in the last eight league games.

Chelsea currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, but Manchester City and Newcastle are just two points behind them, making three points essential — especially as both of their top-four rivals suffered defeats over the weekend.

Palmer has once again been crucial this season, registering 14 goals and six assists in the league. He has started every game and is primarily featured in Premier League matches to manage his workload and allow others to gain minutes.

However, some squad players have opted to leave in search of more game time, including Joao Felix, who joined AC Milan on loan despite links to Aston Villa.

Once considered title contenders, Maresca’s side will now be looking to build momentum—and if Palmer continues his current form, their push for Champions League qualification remains very much alive.

Football Insider Verdict

For Palmer, this was another vital moment, even if he was not officially credited with the goal. His phenomenal campaign continues.

Meanwhile, his close friendship with Rogers has been evident on social media, with fans regularly debating their shared goal celebration. Despite taking different career paths since leaving City, their bond remains strong.

James continued his reintegration into the Blues XI after so long out injured, starting on the night and lasting almost an hour.
