Morgan Rogers and Tyrone Mings respond to Jacob Ramsey’s message amid ‘Aston Villa exit’ claim

Jacob Ramsey had a heartfelt message for Aston Villa fans as speculation around his future grows.

Ramsey has largely featured in a rotational role under Unai Emery this season, as Villa narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot due to goal difference.

Their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on the final day confirmed a Europa League place, but the match was overshadowed by controversy. Morgan Rogers had a goal ruled out for Aston Villa following a questionable foul on United keeper Altay Bayindir, a decision that left fans and the club furious.

Their absence from the Champions League could now have wider implications. Financial concerns are reportedly mounting, and former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Aston Villa may need to sell key players to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

With that, Football Insider has revealed that Ramsey is unhappy at Aston Villa and may push for a move this summer.

Despite the swirling rumours, Ramsey still made time to thank the fans, posting a message of appreciation, in what may be his last season at Villa Park.

Jacob Ramsey praises Aston Villa fans amid Arsenal and Tottenham interest

Despite mounting speculation over his future, Ramsey shared a heartfelt message with Aston Villa fans as the season drew to a close.

He said: “A season to be proud of! Competed at the highest level across multiple competitions. Huge thank you to everyone that travelled to support us home & away. Villa Park has been rocking this season.”

The message was met with plenty of support from teammates. Rogers replied with “Partna” while Tyrone Mings responded with heart emojis. Others including John McGinn, Matty Cash and Newcastle’s Tino Livramento also liked the post.

Despite the positive atmosphere within the squad, Ramsey’s future at Villa Park remains uncertain.

Reports suggest both Arsenal and Tottenham are long-term admirers of Ramsey and could make a move if Villa decide to cash in. He is valued at around £50 million, would represent pure profit for the club given he graduated through the academy—a valuable asset amid PSR concerns.

While the club may be forced to offload at least one high-value player to remain compliant with PSR regulations, it appears Rogers is not on that list.

Football Insider revealed Manchester City are interested in bringing Rogers back, but Unai Emery is determined to keep the 22-year-old at Villa Park.

Rogers has played a key role in Villa’s campaign, featuring in 37 of their 38 Premier League fixtures and proving vital to Emery’s system.

Despite the financial pressures, Villa are unwilling to part ways with Rogers, which could open the door for Ramsey to be the more likely candidate sacrificed if a significant offer arrives.
