Morgan Rogers responds as Aston Villa exit is confirmed
Aston Villa are facing speculation regarding the future of attacking midfielder and England international Morgan Rogers.
After notching a strong return of 14 goals and 13 assists across all competitions last season, Rogers has been linked with Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca’s men have enjoyed a busy summer transfer window, having signed the likes of former Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and ex-Brighton hotshot Joao Pedro.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa could lose some of their star players ahead of next season, after narrowly failing to land Champions League football.

Rogers responds as Louie Barry leaves Aston Villa on loan
While the sought-after Rogers remains at Villa Park, striker Louie Barry joined Sheffield United on loan on Tuesday, 22 July.
The 22-year-old shared his excitement at joining the South Yorkshire side via Instagram: “Delighted to sign for Sheffield United for the season. Can’t wait to get to work.”
Amid the speculation surrounding his future, Rogers commented: “Good luck, my boy” alongside a red heart emoji.

The Blades’ Wembley defeat cost Chris Wilder his job, and he has been replaced by former Hull City and Reading boss Ruben Selles.
Selles is utilising the summer transfer window to make his mark at Bramall Lane, while he worked alongside Barry at Hull last season.
Thanks to a knee injury, the former Barcelona academy starlet made just four appearances for the Tigers last term, before returning to parent club Aston Villa.
However, the striker proved his clinical exploits in the final third by notching 16 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for Stockport County last season, before he was deployed on loan once more to Hull.
Barry’s performances in Stockport colours showed that he is too good for League One and that he can help the Blades in their quest to win promotion from the Championship.
Meanwhile, Unai Emery’s men have been tipped to sign Southampton gem Tyler Dibling in a Villa News exclusive.
