Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers took to social media to send a message to the fans after their 2-1 FA Cup win over Tottenham on Sunday (February 9).

The 22-year-old had a hand in both Aston Villa goals as his side secured progression to the FA Cup fifth round with a comfortable win over Ange Postecoglu’s struggling Tottenham side.

Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring for the home side in the second minute, with Rogers providing the assist, giving Unai Emery’s side a lighting quick start.

Tottenham fans were left raging at January signing Antonin Kinsky after he appeared to fumble his attempted save from Ramsey’s shot.

Rogers, who has been in fine form so far this season, then got in on the action in the 65th minute, all but securing Villa’s spot in the next round.

Mathys Tel managed to get one back for Tottenham in added time in his first start since joining on loan from Bayern Munich in January.

Rogers has established himself as a key player for Villa this season, starting all 33 of his games across all competitions so far this season, scoring 11 goals, and providing six assists in his 2779 minutes of action.

The England international took to Instagram after their 2-1 FA Cup win over Tottenham to send a message to the fans, saying: “Next round, Enjoyed that one!”

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Stefan Borson revealed that Villa may be forced to sell star players such as Rogers in the summer due to the club’s record-high wage bill.

Emery’s attention will return to the Premier League now they’ve secured FA Cup qualification, as they prepare to host Ipswich on Saturday (February 15).
