Morgan Rogers sends message to Aston Villa teammate as exit whispers intensify
Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers took to social media to send a message teammate Emi Buendia who has been linked with a move away from the club.
According to journalist Graeme Bailey, Championship leaders Leeds United are interested in signing the 28-year-old on loan in the January transfer window.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke is understood to be insisting on the deal, having worked with Buendia during his time as Norwich boss.
Bunedia has had limited opportunities for Unai Emery’s side this season, starting just four of his 19 games across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing zero assists in his 446 minutes of action.
The Argentine playmaker missed all of last season through injury, 56 games in total, having torn his ACL during a training session back in August 2023.
Morgan Rogers shows Emi Buendia some love as Aston Villa exit rumours swirl
Rogers, 22, is having a real breakout season at Villa, starting all 29 of his games across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing five assists in his 2437 minutes of action.
The England international took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes training ground image of the two players, with Buendia seemingly unwanted at the club.

Emery’s side will face Graham Potter’s West Ham, who they had beaten in the English manager’s first game at the East London club, on Sunday (January 26).
Villa will then host Scottish champions Celtic in their last Champions League league phase game on Wednesday (January 29).
