His first goal came from a pass by Leon Bailey that diverted into his path, which the Spaniard struck on the half-volley, while his second was a simpler finish after being set up by Marcus Rashford as the two loanees continue their brilliant link-up.
Rogers started the game on the right wing but shifted to the left for the goal to set up Maatsen, before being substituted off. He had a message for Asensio after another top performance from Unai Emery’s side in Europe.

Unai Emery urged to put more faith in Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford
Emery faced criticism from Aston Villa fans after his tactical approach led to a 4-1 defeat against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. However, his side has since bounced back with four consecutive wins.
Despite their impact, Asensio has only started three times while Rashford has made just four starts. With Villa sitting eighth in the table, trusting the duo more in the run-in could be crucial to securing a Champions League spot next season.
