Moritz Jenz tipped to disrupt two Celtic players after manager’s reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton has claimed Mortiz Jenz could be the player to break up the partnership of Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers at Celtic
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Rangers defender said Jenz could quickly find himself as a regular starter for the Hoops.
As quoted by the Daily Record (24 July), Ange Postecoglou revealed top choice centre-back Starfelt has stepped up his recovery ahead of the start of next season.
The Sweden international picked up an injury playing for the national side and missed the entirety of Celtic’s pre-season preparations.
The manager has used this opportunity to get a good look at Jenz, 23.
The German joined Celtic on loan from Lorient this summer, with the clubs including an option to buy.
Jenz made his debut for the Scottish Champions in their pre-season friendly against Norwich on Saturday (23 July).
When asked if he thought Jenz could take Starfelt’s place in the starting 11, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think everybody wants to come in and be a regular starter.

“Nobody wants to go anywhere and sit on the bench. He’s been out on loan or he’s not played so many games recently, so he’ll be looking to come in and play.
“It’s obviously going to be difficult to break up that partnership because they have been very good together but a simple injury, you have a few games to show what you’re about and before you know it you’re a starter.“
