Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has requested more information about why Roberto Martinez was handed a £10million pay-off, according to a report.
The Sun claim the billionaire Goodison majority shareholder wants to find out who sanctioned such a lavish sum for the club’s ex-manager.
Martinez was sacked by Everton in May with with three years remaining on his deal at the club.
The Daily Mail reported last month that Martinez was due to receive £12million but settled for a one-off severance payment of £10million.
The Sun claim this has infuriated Moshiri, who quizzed staff after the Spaniard won his claim for an eight-figure sum.
