‘Mourinho to Wolves?’ – Jorge Mendes told to complete deal as fans amazed
Wolves fans have called for the club to try and hire Jose Mourinho as their next manager after Gary O’Neil’s dismissal.
The club officially parted ways with the 41-year-old head coach and his backroom staff after their defeat against Ipswich Town on Saturday (14 December), ending his 16-month spell in charge.
The Midlands giants sit 19th in the Premier League after the opening 16 games after winning twice, drawing three, and losing 11 times.
Wolves also boast the worst defensive record in the English top flight at the moment, having conceded 40 goals so far.
Supporters now want to see Mourinho take charge at Molineux, with the former Chelsea, Tottenham, and Man United boss having plenty of Premier League experience.
He has made it publicly clear that he would like to return to work in England at some point in the future, but he is currently under contract at Fenerbahce until 2026.
