Moussa Dembele delivers Twitter verdict as Celtic extend unbeaten run v Hamilton

By Danny Wright

Moussa Dembele has applauded a great Celtic win over Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership.

The 20-year-old scored both goals in the comfortable 2-0 victory and took to his personal Twitter account to thank the fans for their support during the match.

Over 54,000 people packed Celtic Park and Dembele thanked them for the standing ovation he received when he was substituted off in the 72nd minute.

The former Fulham man scored just before the break before doubling his, and Celtic’s, tally when he converted a penalty in the 59th minute.

Brendan Rodgers’ side secured their 21st consecutive league win after dispatching of the side who are currently bottom of the league.

“Great victory again, three points and two goals in the bag. Thanks for the ovation and your support. Pure moment of joy #RoadToTheTitle,” Dembele said on Twitter.

The Celtic striker has been in hot form this season for the Hoops and overtook teammate Scott Sinclair as the league’s top goalscorer with his brace.

His two goals put him on 15 in the league this season but Dembele has been potent in all competitions throughout the campaign and has an overall total of 27 in 41 games.

This lethal run of form has meant that Dembele has attracted the attention of the Premier League’s top clubs.

Celtic are currently 24 points clear of second placed Aberdeen and already looked to have secured the league title.
