West Ham manager David Moyes has revealed he won’t cut short Joe Hart’s season-long loan deal, even if he isn’t the number one choice at the club.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the Hammers boss was clear on his stance over Hart, whether he was playing or not.
“I don’t think we could work here without two top goalkeepers,” Moyes said.
“Because we have got a couple of cup games, we have got an incredibly busy period.”
Moyes continued saying the club definitely want two good goalkeepers at the club as it provides competition.
Hart missed out on the Manchester City game due to the loan agreement with his parent club blocking him playing against them, and he was left on the bench for the Chelsea game.
Adrian played in goal in both those games and earned plaudits for his performances as well as keeping a clean sheet in the game against Chelsea.
Hart has only managed to keep three clean sheets since joining the Hammers and has conceded 30 goals in 14 appearances across all competitions.
The goalkeeper joined West Ham in a bid to get regular first-team football this season, which he hoped would leave him as England’s number one for the World Cup finals next summer.
