'Moyes will be raging' - Exclusive: Bent slaughters four 'Shocking' West Ham players
Darren Bent has ripped into the four West Ham defenders after their “shocking” performance against Burnley on Wednesday.
The former Tottenham and England striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, insists that manager David Moyes will be “raging” with what he saw from his backline.
The Irons succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at home to the Clarets, with Jay Rodriguez capitalising on some poor defending to head home the winner.
Bent admits he thought that West Ham had “turned a corner” with their impressive win over London rivals Chelsea but ripped into what he saw on Wednesday evening.
Bent told Football Insider: “Yeah, Moyes will be raging, it’s difficult for him because he’s a defensive-minded coach, you look at some of the teams he’s had over the years, they’ve always been defensively very strong.
“To see the goals that they’ve conceded – after they built Chelsea I thought they’d turned a corner, then they got the point (v Newcastle) and then yesterday it was completely shocking, typical West Ham again.

“As soon as you start believing, thinking maybe they can – bang, back to reality. It was disappointing and poor.”
West Ham currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, four points ahead of Aston Villa and Bournemouth in the relegation zone.
The Irons’ next match sees them visit fellow strugglers Norwich City, while they play host to Watford – who currently sit level on points with Moyes’ men – less than a week later.
In other West Ham news, Alan Hutton has dropped a big relegation prediction involving Aston Villa and the Hammers.
