Muniz responds to Fulham teammate Jimenez after deleting ‘no longer here’ post
Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz responded to teammate Raul Jimenez on social media days after deleting a cryptic message.
The two strikers split playing time last season, with the Brazilian starting eight times under Tottenham target Marco Silva, scoring eight times in 30 games.
Jimenez, on the other hand, began 30 games, scoring 12 goals in the Premier League in 38 appearances.
Whilst the Mexican tended to be favoured by Silva, Muniz is viewed as the potential solution at the number nine position.
Fulham have struggled to fill the role since now-West Ham target Aleksandar Mitrovic departed West London for Saudi Arabia in 2023.

Jimenez joined up with the Mexico national team ahead of their friendlies against Switzerland and Turkey on 7 and 11 June respectively.
The 34-year-old shared several photos of himself on Instagram captioned with the Mexico flag and a ball emoji.
Muniz responded with a love-heart emoji, showing support for his Fulham teammate.
The Brazilian’s response comes just days after he posted, then deleted, a cryptic tweet that read: “They will start to appreciate when I’m no longer here…”

Football Insider Verdict
Getting inside the mind of a footballer can be tricky at the best of times, but in Muniz’s case, the message is quite clear.
The Brazilian striker enjoyed a breakout campaign in the 2023/24 season, scoring nine goals in 26 appearances for the Whites.
But after a strong showing and being linked with Chelsea and Tottenham, the 24-year-old slipped behind Jimenez in the pecking order at Craven Cottage.
Muniz clearly wants to be given another shot to prove himself as the main man at Fulham, although Silva’s side are expected to target another striker in the transfer window.
The Brazilian is incredibly talented and would be a big loss if he were to leave the Cottagers and fans of the club will be hoping his message was merely a moment of frustration, rather than a suggestion that he will be on the move this summer.
