Myles Beerman sends Twitter message to Rangers fans after making his debut v Kilmarnock

By Amir Mir

Myles Beerman has expressed his “delight” at making his debut for Rangers during their goalless draw against Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old defender was handed his first start by manager Pedro Caixinha as the Gers were left frustrated with just a point away from home.

Caixinha is hoping his team can catch second-placed Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership table, with the Dons 12 points ahead of their rivals in the table.

They take on Derek McIness’ side on Saturday afternoon and teenager Beerman, who plays at right-back, will be hoping to feature for his team once again.

This was the youngster’s message to supporters after he made his debut for the club in the Scottish Premiership.

“Last nights feeling was unbelievable,” Beerman wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Disappointed we didn’t get the three points but delighted to have made my debut. Fans were amazing.”

Malta-born Beerman, who naturally plays at right-back, was played on the left-hand side of defence by Caixinha during his 90 minutes on the pitch.

He will be looking to help his team claim an unlikely second spot in the table with Old Firm rivals Celtic already clinching the Scottish Premiership title.

The Gers still have the opportunity to lift some silverware for this campaign, with the Scottish Cup still up for grabs.

Caixinha will prepare his side for a crucial showdown against rivals Celtic on April 23, with the winner advancing through to the finals where they will meet either Hibernian or Aberdeen.
