Nacho Novo paid tribute to Rangers staff member Peter Jacobs on Twitter, after it was confirmed he had passed away on Tuesday afternoon.
The Rangers official website released a club statement to inform fans that the much valued and respected staff member had passed following a short illness.
Jacobs had worked at the Scottish giants for more than a quarter of a century and had a huge effect on the club, as well as it’s players and Novo, who starred for six years at Ibrox was quick to pay tribute to him.
The striker, now at Glentoran took to his personal Twitter account after the news to offer his condolences, stating that “he was always there helping every player.”

Novo joined Rangers in 2004 from Dundee and had featured in 253 matches at Ibrox scoring 71 goals before eventually returning to Spain in 2010 with Sporting Gijon.
The now 37-year-old is currently with Glentoran in the Northern Irish Premier League, where he has featured once following his summer move from Carlisle.
Jacobs will have been proud to see his beloved club return to the Scottish Premiership in the new campaign.
Their next clash see’s them travel to Inverness, where the club will be sure to pay tribute to Jacobs on the pitch.
