Napoli ‘make Rasmus Hojlund compromise’ to force Man United breakthrough
Manchester United could be about to offload one their fringe players after Napoli made a key compromise in the deal.
Arsenal defeated Man United 1-0 on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, which highlighted the shortfalls of goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
Summer arrival Matheus Cunha shone against Arsenal, and there was positivity about the performance from manager Ruben Amorim and supporters.
Amorim still has work to do though in the transfer window, with selling players a key priority before deadline day.

Hojlund saga takes another turn
Rasmus Hojlund is free to leave Man United this summer, with AC Milan and Premier League club Fulham having obtained an interest.
However, amid an injury to Romelu Lukaku, Napoli have made Hojlund a “top priority,” as per The Metro [22 August].
Lukaku is set to miss up to first three months of the Serie A season, and Napoli are keen to source cover before the transfer window shuts.
Napoli have changed the terms of the deal they were setting out to Man United, with an obligation to buy instead of an option to buy now inserted into the loan package.
Man United keen to sell five players before window shuts

Football Insider Verdict
Hojlund was left out of the squad for Man United’s defeat to Arsenal, and the end now looks near for the striker’s time at Old Trafford.
The Dane has never adapted to the Premier League and with Benjamin Sesko now the number one striker at Man United, Hojlund’s chances of playing are slim.
Hojlund has previous experience in Serie A with Atalanta, but the 22-year-old will need to improve his goal record if he is to replace the loss of Lukaku at Napoli.

Amorim also wants to sell four other players to boost his transfer funds, although with time running out it looks unlikely that everyone he doesn’t want at the club will leave.
Alejandro Garnacho is in talks with Chelsea over a move, whilst Jadon Sancho is the subject of interest from Roma.
Left-back Tyrell Malacia is on the list to be sold too alongside Antony who spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis, and could return to the Spanish club.
