Napoli president gives Kevin De Bruyne transfer update: ‘I believe’
Kevin De Bruyne is leaving Manchester City this summer, and the Belgian may already have his next club lined up.
The midfielder is departing after ten years at the Etihad, winning six Premier League titles as well as a Champions League during his time in the north west.
De Bruyne was celebrated by Man City at his final ever home game, with tributes flooding in from former and current teammates.
Pep Guardiola’s side wrapped up their domestic season with a 2-0 win away at Fulham, securing a 3rd place finish for the Citizens.

De Bruyne set for Italy
De Bruyne was linked with a sensational move to Liverpool, as Arne Slot’s side looked to benefit from City’s decision to allow the midfielder to leave.
The Reds recently lost academy graduate Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, and have been looking to replace his passing range and technical quality.
However, it now looks as if the 33-year-old will be moving away from the Premier League and making the switch to Italy.
According to reports in The Mirror (27 May), De Bruyne is set to join recently crowned Serie A champions Napoli.
The Mirror added that Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has revealed that the Man City legend has already bought a villa in Naples, all but confirming the move.

De Bruyne still has the quality
Football Insider Verdict
There is no doubt that over the past few years, De Bruyne has struggled with fitness, as he leaves the prime of his career behind him.
However, his technical ability still remains, and the Belgian clearly still has what it takes to contribute at the top level of European football.
This season, De Bruyne scored four goals and picked up seven assists in his 28 Premier League appearances for Man City.

Moving to Napoli is by no means an early retirement either, as Antonio Conte’s side have just wrapped up their second league title in three years, and will be in the Champions League next season.
De Bruyne will be linking up with international teammate Romelu Lukaku in Naples, as well as former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, who has become a cult hero at the club.
