Ndombele’s Tottenham exit ‘nailed on’ after Barcelona news this afternoon – pundit

Tottenham have been handed a transfer “open goal” after finding a viable way to get rid of Tanguy Ndombele.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider at 3pm on Friday that Paris Saint-Germain are negotiating a loan deal for Ndombele while there is also now interest from Barcelona.

Tottenham

Spurs want all of Ndombele’s £200,000-a-week wages paid during the loan term.

As per Alasdair Gold on Friday (21 January), Antonio Conte admitted he has only spoken with the club about Ndombele’s situation.

This came after he was booed off by Spurs fans during his side’s 3-1 win over Morecambe in the FA Cup on 9 January.

Ndombele has not trained with the first team since that game and Kenny now claims he has the perfect chance to leave Spurs.

“It’s an open goal, this should now happen,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Tottenham don’t want him, he doesn’t want to be there and finally a club has appeared who want to take him.

“He’s on £200,000 wages or something, PSG is probably the only club who can afford to pay all or most of that.

“He’s from Paris as well, so he would want to go back, I imagine. That’s before you get to the other stuff.

“So you get to play with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar. You also have a great chance to win trophies.

“This should work for all parties, I think that’s nailed on.”

Tottenham

Tottenham signed Ndombele from Lyon for a reported club-record fee of £55million in 2019.

On 4 October, Spurs Insider John Wenham told this site Ndombele will cost the club north of £110million if he sees out his contract with the club.
