Neto and Dalot react to Renato Veiga message after Chelsea ‘frustration’ emerges
Chelsea defender Renato Veiga has spoken out amid the latest updates on his future, prompting responses from the likes of Pedro Neto and Diogo Dalot.
The versatile 21-year-old made the move to Stamford Bridge last summer, when he joined from Swiss side FC Basel.
However, the Portugal international struggled for regular first-team football with Enzo Maresca‘s side during the first half of this season.
As a result, Chelsea allowed Veiga to join Juventus on loan until the end of the season back in the January transfer window, although some contention appears to have emerged around the end of that deal.

Renato Veiga speaks out over Juventus loan
It has emerged that Veiga has been left “frustrated” with Chelsea after they omitted him from their Club World Cup squad, and prevented Juventus extending his loan so he can play for them in the tournament.
Now, the defender himself has broken his silence by paying tribute to the Serie A side, as his time with the club comes to an end.
Taking to Instagram to reflect on his loan spell in Italy, Veiga posted a video of some of his standout moments with Juventus.
The Chelsea defender then added an emotional caption to the post, which read: “Until the 30th of May, my last day of contract with Juventus, it was an absolute pleasure and honour to represent this huge club! Grazie a tutti. Fino Alla Fine”
In response, his Blues teammates Neto and Malo Gusto showed their support by liking that post, as did Man United full-back Dalot, who is a fellow Portugal international of Veiga’s.
Chelsea will face questions over defender’s future
Football Insider Verdict
It does seem as though Chelsea may soon have a decision to make on Veiga, even with a long time remaining on his contract.
Amid those reports he is not happy with the club about his loan not being extended, some might see his reference to dates and contracts as something of a pointed message over the situation.
That could lead to questions over whether he may look for an exit this summer, and it was claimed that Juventus want to sign Veiga on loan again for next season.
Meanwhile Football Insider understands Chelsea could sell the defender for £30million amid interest from Tottenham this summer.
As a result, there are exit routes available to the 21-year-old, and it will be interesting to see if he attempts to take one of those amid the fall out around his absence from the Club World Cup.
