Patrick Roberts blown away by Rangers summer signing

Celtic favourite Patrick Roberts has revealed that his Manchester City team mate Aaron Nemane didn’t tell him he was moving to Rangers despite seeing him just a day before he signed a deal at the Ibrox.
The Lights Blues recruited the 19-year-old winger on a six-month loan deal just over a week ago as he became the club’s tenth signing of the summer window.
Now Roberts will have to face his friend as they go head-to-head when the rival Glaswegian clubs clash, but he still thinks this is a great move for the teenager as well as Rangers.
“We watched the Manchester City v Everton game and Aaron was sitting in front of me, he never mentioned he was going to Rangers – and he signed the next day as well,” Roberts admitted, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.
“This will be a good move for him; it certainly was for me. Scotland is a great place to come and play. I won’t wish him all the best because, obviously, we’ll be going out there to win against them.

“He’s another winger – I played on the right side and he played on the left. It’s good to have more high-calibre players in the Premiership.”
Celtic confirmed that Roberts, 20, had rejoined the club on a season-long loan after he impressed during his 18 month stint at the club which expired at the end of last season.
The Man City starlet will not only face Nemane in the Scottish Premiership, but also fellow Etihad loaneer Brandon Barker, who recently joined newly-promoted side Hibernian in a loan deal too.
The Hoops star will face his City team mates in consecutive weekends at the end of September as Celtic face rivals Rangers on 23 September at the Ibrox before hosting Hibs the following week.
