‘Never wearing the shirt ever again’ – West Ham fans destroy £40m star after what they spotted him do
West Ham fans have fumed at one of their big-money signings following their defeat to Leeds on Friday night.
The Hammers were in desperate need of a win as they travelled to Elland Road on Friday (24 October) evening for a clash of two early-season strugglers in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Nuno Espirito Santo has struggled to improve West Ham’s form since he was appointed last month, and his side got off to a poor start against Leeds as Brenden Aaronson fired the hosts into an early lead.
Joe Rodon doubled the Whites’ advantage inside the first quarter of an hour, and the Hammers were unable to stage a comeback as Mateus Fernandes’ late strike was reduced to nothing more than a consolation and Leeds beat West Ham 2-1.
Numerous West Ham players struggled to make their mark on the game as the away fans made their feelings towards the performance known, and one in particular came in for a lot of stick online.

Max Kilman has struggled for West Ham since joining
Max Kilman cost West Ham £40million [Sky Sports] to sign from Wolves in the summer of 2024, but has struggled to live up to that price-tag ever since.
He played in every Premier League game for the East London club in his debut season, which is an impressive feat, but hardly much to boast about considering their 14th-placed finish with 62 goals conceded.
The 28-year-old has remained a mainstay at the heart of the Hammers’ defence this season, but has again not been able to prove his worth alongside the likes of Jean-Clair Todibo and Konstantinos Mavropanos.
Kilman massively struggled against Leeds on Friday as he failed to make a tackle, did not win a ground duel, had 33% long-ball accuracy and committed two fouls.
West Ham fans slate Kilman online after Leeds showing
Supporters of the Irons did not take kindly to Kilman’s poor performance in the 2-1 loss, as many took to X to voice their negative opinions about him.
One fan wrote: “Kilman needs to be dropped. Wow,” while another said: “I’d release Kilman immediately. What a waste of space.”
Another supporter simply said: “I never want to see Max Kilman wear the shirt again.”
While another added: “Quick way to wipe £45m off the face of the earth? Sign Kilman. One of the worst signings since I’ve been alive.”
