Report details which Arsenal star will be earning less than new recruit Kolasinac
By Danny Wright
Sead Kolasinac is set to become Arsenal’s joint top earner, according to a report.
The Express claims that the new Gunners recruit will earn the same amount as Mesut Ozil, but astonishingly will pocket more than star player Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal announced on their official website on Tuesday that Kolasinac will officially join the club in the coming weeks when his contract with Schalke comes to an end.
It is understood that Ozil and Sanchez are both seeking new contracts at the Emirates which would see them earn payrises.
However the Express reports that neither of the ex-La Liga stars have agreed upon any new terms.

It is perhaps surprising that Kolasinac, a left-back, is going to earn more than Sanchez, who is arguably Arsenal’s most reliable source of goals and assists.
Kolasinac, 23, can also play on the left wing and was a starring feature in Schalke’s season.
He made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit, scoring three goals and supplying nine assists.
Suspension and injury hampered the last few weeks of the campaign for the 23-times Bosnia and Herzegovina international, but he still managed to play a vital role in helping Schalke reach the quarter finals of the Europa League when they fell to an extra-time defeat to eventual runners-up Ajax.
Football Insider Verdict
It would be easy to see why players like Sanchez and Ozil could become twitchy at Arsenal. Neither of those should be earning less, or the same amount, as a left-back who still has a lot to prove. It could also disrupt a large number of Arsene Wenger’s squad, who perhaps feel like they shouldn’t be earning less than Kolasinac. Deals for Sanchez and Ozil are a must for the Frenchman, who after sealing his own future, must abolish any signs of a possible mutiny over the summer. Kolasinac might work out to be a very good singing for the Gunners, but the money they’re paying for him could be a risk.
