New Leeds signing reacts as Coventry deal now agreed – he’s been pictured with Frank Lampard
Coventry City have offered a scholarship to Kayden Smith as they look to secure the next generation of talented footballers.
While Coventry’s form has taken a hit in recent weeks, the Sky Blues are still on track for promotion to the Premier League.
Frank Lampard has done an excellent job at the CBS Arena, as is currently top of the Championship with the side.
As a result, the manager is now looking towards the future and is aiming to secure Smith, with the young striker having plenty of potential.
With a scholarship now being offered to the 14-year-old, many people have reacted, including Leeds’ new signing, Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher.

According to The Talent Hunter via Instagram on 6 February, Coventry have offered a scholarship to Smith two years early, with the attacker being photographed next to Lampard.
The upcoming talent has already registered 28 goals and 20 assists this season, in what has been a remarkable turn of form.
This is despite Smith being injured for two months earlier this campaign, which makes this return even more astonishing.
Yet, this will not have been surprising to many, with the youngster registering 245 goals and 310 assists in just 217 appearances for Coventry’s academy.
As a result, Smith has even made his debut for the Under-16s this season, coming when he was just 13 years old.
Now, after this recent news broke, Leeds star Ibrovic-Fletcher was one of the people to react, as he liked the post.
What are Coventry’s current chances of promotion?
Going into Saturday’s games, Coventry fans will be hoping to see their club return to winning ways.
The Sky Blues have lost three of their last five games in the Championship, which has allowed Middlesbrough to go level on points with the West Midlands side.
Hull City are also only four points off the top, with nerves now rising among the fanbase.
However, Opta still believes Coventry are going to win the title, giving them a 48.72 per cent chance of ending the season at the top of the table.
On top of this, the odds of promotion is even higher, at 78.08 per cent, making any blunder highly unlikely.
