Newcastle fans are saying same thing about Bruno Guimaraes leaving after footage

Newcastle United fans have called on the club not to sell Bruno Guimaraes after footage has emerged following their 4-2 victory over Brentford on Sunday (19 May).

The Brazilian international was spotted kissing the Newcastle badge after scoring the fourth goal before a fan’s bucket hat was placed on his head during the celebrations.

The 26-year-old was then seen waving to the Magpies fans after the game, fueling the speculation around whether he will be at the club next season.

Guimaraes has registered seven goals and 10 assists this campaign, helping Eddie Howe’s side finish seventh in the Premier League and secure a place in the Europa Conference League for next season if Manchester United fail to beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Football Insider revealed earlier this month St James’ Park chiefs are “very confident” of keeping the midfielder this summer after internal talks have taken place.

Howe revealed last month Guimaraes has a £100million release clause that will expire in the final days of June, meaning it will take a significant bid for him to leave Tyneside in the coming weeks.

Newcastle fans want to see Bruno Guimaraes stay

Newcastle fans are split on what Guimaraes’ actions after the Brentford game could mean, but they are all adamant they want to see him remain at the club next season.
