Newcastle fans explode after Joao Pedro update – ‘I want nothing to do with him’
Brighton star Joao Pedro could move on this summer with widespread reports suggesting he is ready to make a move away from the south coast.
The 23-year-old joined the Seagulls two years ago from Watford and has become a regular scorer in the Premier League.
Newcastle were strongly linked with Pedro before his Brighton switch but failed to strike a move to bring him to St James’ Park at the time.
He has hit 30 goals and notched 10 assists in 70 games for the Amex Stadium club – with 19 of those strikes coming in the Premier League.

Newcastle hold ‘serious’ Pedro interest
According to the i Paper (26 May), Newcastle want another striker to play alongside Alexander Isak after qualifying for the Champions League.
It is claimed the club have made a “sales pitch” to Ipswich star Liam Delap, while the club also apparently hold “serious interest” in Pedro.

The report claims Newcastle could have around £250million to spend in the summer window after work to build their headroom under Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Pedro remains under contract at Brighton until June 2028 and the Seagulls are no stranger to driving a hard bargain, having received a British-record £115million fee for Moises Caicedo from Chelsea in 2023.

Newcastle fans ‘not keen’ on Brighton star man
Newcastle fans will be riding on the high of securing Champions League football despite losing 1-0 at home in their final day clash against Everton on Sunday (25 May).
However, the St James’ Park faithful at large are not too keen on the potential arrival of Pedro as they took to social media to respond to the update.
One supporter claimed they “don’t want anything to do” with the Brazillian, while another branded him a “penalty merchant”.
