Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that their former manager Alan Pardew has reportedly become embroiled in the controversy surrounding West Brom and their mid-season trip to Barcelona.
The Daily Mail reports that four unnamed Albion players are alleged to have stolen a taxi after a night out while taking part in warm-climate training in Spain.
Spanish news outlet La Media Inglesa claimed on their official Twitter account on Thursday morning that Pardew had warned the players about their behaviour after arriving in Barcelona, but he too has become a part of the story as it is understood on that same night he “went out” with his technical staff, brought drinks back to the hotel and lost his phone and wallet.

Newcastle fans share a huge amount of resentment for Pardew after a nightmarish end to his spell as manager at St James’ Park.
Many had warned West Brom about hiring the former Crystal Palace and West Ham manager, and it seems that the warning was fair with results failing to improve and off-field antics now taking centre stage at the Hawthorns.
There was a huge response from the Toon Army on Twitter after the news broke, with one saying that it’s “unbelievable”.
