Newcastle fans react to Mo Diame display against Man United

Newcastle United fans have reacted on Twitter with humour and delight after Mohamed Diame played a key role in the team’s shock 1-0 Premier League win against Manchester United on Sunday.
The midfielder has been a regular scapegoat for frustrated Toon supporters in recent seasons who complain he is not as influential as he should be given his power and pace.
Diame has been in and out of the team this season in a difficult campaign for player and club but he played the full 90 minutes at St James’ Park as a second-half Matt Richie goal secured one of the upsets of the season.
The Senegal international was paired with Jonjo Shelvey in central midfield and they dominated Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, who were substituted by Jose Mourinho and 66 and 77 minutes respectively.
Newcastle fans on social media were delighted with the contribution of Diame as they pointed out with delight how he had got one over the £90million midfielder Pogba.

The Magpies’ win against Man United lifted them to 13th in the Premier League table, five places and two points above the drop zone.
It was their first triumph against the Premier League’s second placed club in five years.
