'Terrifying', 'Ridiculous' - Newcastle fans react to reported Sunderland sale development

Sunderland owner Ellis Short has put the Wearside club up for sale – and Newcastle United fans have been out in their droves on Twitter to react to the news.
Sky Sports reports that Short is willing to listen to offers of around £50million as the Black Cats stare League One oblivion in the face following a desperately poor season.
The North-East club look increasingly likely to suffer back-to-back relegations all the way from the Premier League to League One after failing to improve results with Chris Coleman at the helm.
Newcastle were not the least bit sympathetic to their local rivals, taking to Twitter to mock the Black Cats, with one saying that Short has put the club up for a “ridiculous” amount of money.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Sunderland are currently 23rd in the Championship table, level on points with bottom side Burton Albion.
They have won just five games since their drop from the Premier League last term and unless their fortunes change soon, another drop seems on the cards with them three points away from safety.
Coleman and his men have an absolutely huge clash on Tuesday night against fellow strugglers Bolton at the Macron.
In other Newcastle United news, the Magpies are in the hunt to sign this proven Premier League performer from a top-seven club.
