‘Newcastle to agree record-breaking Alexander Isak deal after Liverpool latest’
Newcastle United are now ready to agree a record-breaking Alexander Isak deal as talks are planned at St James’ Park.
The Sweden international has been a top performer for the north-east giants since making his club-record £63million move from Real Sociedad in 2022.
The 25-year-old registered 27 goals and six assists in 42 appearances in the 2024-25 season, helping his side finish fifth in the Premier League and win the Carabao Cup.
Isak has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool following his impressive performances on Tyneside.
Arne Slot is believed to be an admirer of the striker as he looks to add to his attacking options despite the Reds being crowned Premier League champions in his first campaign at Anfield.
However, Newcastle are expected to demand around £150million for Isak this summer.

Newcastle to offer Alexander Isak bumper new deal
It has long been anticipated Newcastle would offer Isak a bumper new contract to tie down his long-term future, with his current deal set to expire in 2028.
The Times reported on 24 June Eddie Howe’s side are now prepared to make the forward the best-paid player in the club’s history as they look to fight off any approach for his services.
The newspaper said Newcastle are ready to begin talks on a new deal that would take the 25-year-old’s salary beyond £150,000 a week.
That would see his wages surpass the likes of top earners Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon.
The Tyneside club’s qualification for the Champions League is likely to help in the negotiations with Isak over a new deal.
It also means they don’t need to sell their star player, with Newcastle set to earn up to £100million from the competition next season.

Newcastle ready Marcus Rashford move
Howe is looking to bring in a new striker to provide another option to Isak this summer.
Newcastle are believed to be readying a move to sign Marcus Rashford, with a loan deal the preferred option for St James’ Park chiefs.
The England international spent the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa after making the move to Villa Park in January.
The 27-year-old registered four goals and six assists in 17 appearances for Unai Emery’s side before picking up a hamstring injury.
However, Rashford’s wages present a potential stumbling block as he is believed to be on around £325,000 a week at Old Trafford.
