‘Newcastle to reject £165m for Tino Livramento as Man City chase deal’
Newcastle United have made their stance clear on Tino Livramento’s future as Man City continue to circle St. James’ Park this summer.
The 22-year-old has become an incredibly key part of Eddie Howe‘s squad since his £32m arrival in 2023 [Sky Sports], currently sitting on 80 appearances and boasting a near-perfect disciplinary record.
Football Insider understands that Newcastle are doing “all they can” to keep Livramento from leaving, and that is certainly possible after securing Champions League football last season.
Howe is only just beginning to build his project at St James’ Park, beating Liverpool to the EFL Cup and securing a top-five finish last term, and the former Bournemouth figure will be keen to achieve more.
Given the success of both full-backs recently, with Lewis Hall on the opposite flank, they have become important assets at the club, and the Magpies clearly stand firm on the right-back’s future.

Newcastle United raise the price on Tino Livramento
Sources have told the Daily Mail‘s Craig Hope (8 July) that Man City remain interested in the full-back and would be willing to spend £65million to sign the 22-year-old Chelsea academy product.
Word from Tyneside, however, would suggest that £165m would not even be enough to consider selling the player, with Livramento seen as irreplaceable by those at St James’ Park.
Pep Guardiola to face frustration over Newcastle star
Football Insider verdict
Given how much Pep Guardiola and Man City have already spent on transfers in the last two windows, some supporters might still be nervous about a move being made for Livramento this summer.
The Magpies have made their stance clear, though, and Howe is unlikely to budge on potentially selling the 22-year-old given his current abilities, market value, and his future prospects.
There is absolutely no doubt that Guardiola would love to add Livramento to his squad, especially with Kyle Walker gone, but any deal would have to be secured with an eye-watering offer, likely record-breaking.

Alexander Isak, who currently faces a difficult contract situation, is in the same boat as his defensive teammate, with at least £150m being spoken about for the Sweden international.
Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon, and Joelinton should all be viewed as untouchable by the Magpies, and that is exactly the impression being given out by the club.
