Newcastle told to make Kieran Trippier U-turn after new twist – fans react

Newcastle United fans have urged the club to reconsider Kieran Trippier’s future at the lub following a new revelation.

Football Insider revealed that the future of the England right-back is up in the air this summer as he only has one year left on his contract.

A new report claims that Eddie Howe has personally spoken with Trippier and made it clear that he wants him to stay at St. James’ Park for next season.

The 33-year-old has been a regular starter since joining Newcastle in 2022, having made 92 appearances for the club.

However, the England international has received interest from Saudi Pro League clubs this summer.

There had been a growing belief that Trippier would be leaving the club this summer, despite Howe making him club captain in Jamaal Lascelles’ absence.

Initially, many Newcastle fans were open to the idea of cashing in on Trippier to reinvest in the squad.

But after learning that Howe personally spoke with the defender and evidently wants him to stay, the Toon Army has made a U-turn.

The fanbase wants to see the club back Howe as he prepares his squad for next season.

He’s also still an excellent full back! He clearly had a lot of family issues second half of last season that messed with his head and his performances dropped doesn’t mean he can’t rediscover his form.

As much as I’d love to see new signings, they have to be better than we have. Tino and Trippier are as good as a non CL club can get. Keep KT for another season, hopefully get Europe then upgrade. Just cos we’re in transfer window, doesn’t mean we have to spend for the sake of it
