
Newcastle United backed to complete Joao Pedro deal imminently after source’s update – pundit
Newcastle United will sign Joao Pedro before the summer transfer window closes.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider abputnthe Magpies’ hunt for a new striker.
Sources told this site on Wednesday (17 August) that Newcastle United are ready to submit a new bid for Pedro of £25million plus add-ons.

The north-east giants had submitted an opening £20million bid for the striker but Watford are holding out for a £30million windfall.
The forward, who can play on the left and right flank as well as in an attacking midfield role, is under contract until June 2025,
Kenny is execting this deal to get done.
“It’s a lot of money in the Championship, that,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“There is only two weeks left for them to find s replacement but with that kind of money to spend it is possible.
“For Newcastle, they just need to get someone over the line, It looks like they really want Pedro, he is their man.
“Time is knocking on so I expect them to pay whatever Watford want and get the deal done. It will be such a relief for them.
“We have been talking about a striker signing for months.”
