Newcastle United backed to finalise Jack Harrison deal after update – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Leeds United winger Jack Harrison will be “thinking about” a move to Newcastle United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender suggested Leeds will not want to lose a player like Harrison.
According to journalist Graeme Bailey, reported in TEAMtalk (25 November), the Magpies “loved” the 26-year-old in the summer but were unwilling to meet the Whites’ valuation.

In the summer (23 August), this site revealed that Leeds have put a £35million price tag on Harrison after rejected two bids from Newcastle.
The left-sided winger will have a year left on his contract at Elland Road come the summer.
Hutton has suggested a club like Newcastle could be a draw for any player.
“I think if Newcastle come calling, somewhere that you can see what they are doing they are trying to build something, you would definitely want to be a part of that,” he told Football Insider.
“I think from a Leeds point of view, they are still in a position that they are on the edge. I do not think that they would want to get rid of a player like that, even though [Crysencio] Summerville has come in and done really well.

“I think it is healthy to have that competition. To have more than one player available for the position. When you are used to playing week in week out and then you lose your spot, the only thing you want to do is get back playing.
“So it is probably something that he will be thinking about.“
In other news, Whelan can’t believe Charlie Cresswell’s Leeds deal could be terminated.
