Newcastle tipped to hand Ten Hag ‘exceptional’ £24m deal to after Mail update – pundit
Newcastle United could hand Erik Ten Hag a £24million contract over four years to transform their youth setup.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the hunt for a new manager on Tyneside.
This site revealed on 26 October that the new owners still harbour a shred of hope that they can persuade Rafael Benitez to return to St James’ Park.

But that appears a remote possibility after the Everton boss publicly distanced himself from the job.
The Daily Mail reported on 26 October that the Magpies will offer Ajax manager Ten Hag a £6m-a-year package to lure him to the north-east.
Kenny predicts that the 51-year-old could revolutionise the newly-minted club’s production line if he is named as Steve Bruce’s successor.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “I’ve looked into him and he’s done Bayern Munich’s second side and a few other Dutch teams.
“With the Ajax connection, we know the calibre of players they produce. It’s one of the best academies in the world.
“Maybe they’ve got one eye on investing in youth and being a production line for young players.
“I am sure Ajax would be gutted to lose him but money talks, and Newcastle have got that now.

“If they go and give him a four-year contract, you’re talking a hell of a lot of money at that rate.
“He’s an exceptional young manager as well. He could bring that exciting, feel-good factor back to Newcastle.“
