Newcastle United June date revealed for £30m deal – sources
Newcastle United are set to hold their first kit launch under their new £30million Adidas deal on June 7, Football Insider can reveal.
The Tyneside club struck a deal with the German kit manufacturer in August 2023 to replace Castore.
As revealed by Football Insider, Newcastle earned between £5-£7million from their Castore deal and are now set to earn between £25-£30million from Adidas.
The value of the Adidas deal is a new club record for a sponsorship deal.
The date of their kit launch was leaked during an ongoing court process between the club and former owner Mike Ashley.
Ashley’s company Sports Direct is seeking an injunction to stop Newcastle from selling their new Adidas kit exclusively through a rival retailer.
Newcastle set to launch in June under new £30m Adidas deal
Ashley is seeking millions in damage amid claims that Newcastle have abused their position in the market.
The Adidas deal is set to provide a significant boost to Newcastle’s commercial revenue in the 2023-24 financial year.
Newcastle’s latest 22-23 accounts revealed that the club’s sponsorship and commercial revenue has already increased by nearly £18million up to £44million since their Saudi-backed takeover.

That figure is expected to increase by around £20million again in their 2023-24 accounts as a result of multiple sponsorship deals signed this season.
The popularity of the new Adidas kits could also provide a boost to the club’s revenue generation with Newcastle set to pocket around eight percent of shirt sales.
