Newcastle United plotting to sign Man City sensation Taylor Harwood-Bellis – sources
Newcastle United are among the Premier League sides plotting a potential summer move for Man City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis after his successful Burnley loan, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that Fulham and West Ham are also tracking the 21-year-old ahead of the off-season.
Newly promoted Burnley are also ready to launch a permanent move for Harwood-Bellis.
Clarets boss Vincent Kompany has built a good understanding with the centre-back sensation following the youngster’s loan spells under the Belgian at Anderlecht and Turf Moor.
Sources with knowledge of Harwood-Bellis’ situation have revealed that there is a “mutual admiration” between the pair.
It is believed Man City are yet to make a final decision on sanctioning a summer move for the 21-year-old – who will enter the final 12 months of his contract in June.
Harwood-Bellis was a regular starter for Burnley as they secured a return to the Premier League in the 2022-23 campaign.
He made 35 appearances across all competitions, notching one goal and two assists.
The youngster missed around three months post-World Cup after picking up a foot injury.
Harwood-Bellis has spent the last three seasons out on loan after making his senior Man City breakthrough in 2019.
The England Under-21 international played 19 times for Anderlecht last term and has also racked up 73 Championship appearances in spells at Burnley, Stoke and Blackburn.

Newcastle are ready to continue their big spending as they prepare for the prospect of Champions League football in the 2023-24 campaign.
The Magpies have just four senior centre-backs on the books at St James’ Park – one of whom is Jamaal Lascelles, who has been linked with a summer move away.
