Newcastle United told to complete Dean Henderson deal after update – expert
Newcastle United “would be mad” to sign Chelsea stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Magpies’ summer plans.
On Thursday (31 March) The Athletic reported Newcastle are contemplating a loan offer for Arrizabalaga, 27, as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping options.

It was also claimed Man United’s Dean Henderson, 25, has featured in early transfer talks ahead of the summer window.
Kenny is urging Newcastle to prioritise a move for Henderson due to Kepa’s poor spell at Chelsea.
“You would be mad to sign Kepa in my opinion,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He came with a big price tag but he’s never really shown why he is worth it.
“I lost all respect for him when he wouldn’t come off in the League Cup final.
“That was bang out of order. Chelsea spent all this money on him then they have had to go and buy another goalkeeper.
“Henderson is the one, for me. He’s stuck behind De Gea for the time being and what a prospect Newcastle is now.
“Henderson has his whole career ahead of him and I’m sure a move up to Newcastle would interest him.
“He’s a future England number one so for me it would be a great move.”

Martin Dubravka, 33, is firmly Newcastle’s number one.
Freddie Woodman was afforded a chance to impress at the start of the season but he quickly lost his place and is now on loan at Bournemouth.
