Newcastle told to use Trippier as springboard for five-signings spree after source’s reveal – Mills
Newcastle United need to make three or four signing of similar quality to Kieran Trippier, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England full-back suggested Trippier should wait until the end of the season before deciding where his future lies.
A recruitment source told Football Insider last Wednesday (15 December) Newcastle are increasingly confident of signing the versatile full-back.

The 31-year-old is keen on a return to the UK after almost two-and-a-half years with Atletico Madrid and wants to wrap up the deal early on in the window.
“What’s the reason for going there?” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If it’s money, fine, but you’re not really going there to benefit your career. He’s come from winning La Liga.
“I think it’s a tricky one, if that’s the right move for him or not.
“You’re up against it. If you bring in Trippier and use that to get three or four new signings of that quality then fine. But are they going to get those signings?
“If I was him, I think I’d be tempted to sit and wait until the end of the season. I look at it and think I’m not 100 per cent convinced that is the right move for him.”

Trippier has only just returned from a shoulder injury but has still made 16 appearances across all competitions for Atletico this season.
The England international won La Liga with the Spanish giants last season.
