Newcastle told to complete Jonathan David signing after dazzling update

Newcastle United fans have told the club to “sign up” Lille striker Jonathan David after his impressive performance against Juventus on Tuesday (5 November).

The 24-year-old scored against the Italian giants in the 27th minute of their Champions League fixture, with the two sides eventually battling it out to a 1-1 draw.

David boasted an 83% accurate pass rate from the 18 he attempted, while he was 100% successful with his dribbles throughout the game.

The Canada international also worked hard defensively with three different actions, one recovery, and a headed clearance as he helped his teammates in all aspects of the match.

Football Insider revealed that the Magpies are continuing to monitor David and are considering swooping to sign him before his Lille deal expires next summer.

Football Insider confirmed that Newcastle have made it a priority to sign a striker in the upcoming transfer windows after Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson have dealt with injury problems this season.

The Canadian has scored 13 goals in 18 matches across all competitions this season, and the Toon Army now want to see him line up at St. James’ Park in the near future.
