Bayern Munich could be next on Arne Slot’s list of clubs to raid as Liverpool enter into a new and exciting era at Anfield.
Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, and so too Jeremie Frimpong, with Hugo Ekitike snubbing Newcastle United for his big-money move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
This only adds to the list of young stars to come over from the Bundesliga. Man City signed Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt during the winter transfer window, who has since notched 10 goal contributions.
The Reds have already spent a record £446million, including a British record transfer fee for Alexander Isak, but Slot does not appear to be finished with his rebuild at Anfield quite yet.
Michael Olise is ‘one to watch’ as Mohamed Salah’s replacement
Writing for the Daily Mail (4 September), Lewis Steele said: “As for Michael Olise, I certainly cannot rule that one out. They want a long-term Mohamed Salah replacement in the next summer or two.
“And the early noises are that Bayern Munich’s former Crystal Palace star Olise could be right at the top of their shopping list.
“We can’t say too much more than that yet, but could be one to watch,” with Football Insider understanding that Liverpool are keen to review Salah’s future at Liverpool.
Despite only signing for Bayern last summer, Vincent Kompany has praised the “special” player [Bayern Strikes], claiming that the Frenchman is already “one of his most important players” [Bavarian Football Works].
The 23-year-old has notched 24 goals and 20 assists in his first 59 appearances for the German giants, linking up with former Liverpool star Luis Diaz and Tottenham legend Harry Kane.

Liverpool would be signing quite the player if he were to return to the Premier League, and after being let go by both Man City and Chelsea, he may feel he has a point to prove.
