N’Golo Kante has ensured Tottenham fans that Chelsea have “learned” from their defeat against their London rivals after they were drawn to play each other in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

Spurs inflicted a 2-0 defeat on the current Premier League leaders in January and now the duo are set to meet for a place in the final at of the FA Cup at Wembley.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side eased past Millwall last Sunday while the Blues overcame a stubborn Manchester United team on Monday night.

The winner will now meet either Arsenal or Manchester City in the final at Wembley with the chance that Spurs could face their north London rivals in May.

However, Blues midfielder Kante was confident that his team can assure they stopped that from happening by knocking out their rivals.

“Tottenham was our last defeat,” Kante told the Daily Star. “We had to keep going. We reacted very well after Tottenham, and we have to keep going. We have learned from our defeat.

“I think Tottenham is a strong team. When you play there, they play very well, they scored twice, and they deserved to win that game.

“We are going to fight for every competition, in the league and the cup. The cup is a target, we are going to play to win every game, we are going to play to win against Tottenham.”

France international Kante has arguably been one of the best midfielders in England ‘s top flight this season.

Not only that, he is regarded by some as the best defensive midfielder in the world due to his sheer work rate and ability to break up play from all over the park.

Nonetheless, the Frenchman will be hoping England striker Harry Kane will not be fit enough to make the semi-final tie.

Kane has injured ligaments in his right ankle and there is the possibility he could miss the cup clash on the week commencing April 22.

In other Tottenham news, Harry Kane has posted this update on his injury and fans will love his comments.
