Rangers fans have destroyed young midfielder Josh Windass on Twitter following his display in the 2-1 defeat at Ibrox against Aberdeen on Wednesday evening.
The 23-year-old completed full 90 minutes and even assisted Martyn Waghorn’s consolation goal in the 61st minute after Graeme Shinnie and Ryan Christie put their side two goals up, which ended up proving decisive.
It was a performance which saw much of the Rangers team receive criticism for their displays and Windass certainly didn’t escape despite his assist.
One fan on social media went as far as to compare the youngster to former flop Nicky Law, who was released from the club last summer, while others stated they never wanted to see Windass in a Rangers shirt again.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
If I read that Joe dodoo and Josh windass have potential 1 more time I'm scooping my eyes out with a spoon.
They are both utter garbage

Windass joined Rangers in the summer after signing a pre-contract deal from League Two outfit Accrington Stanley.
He has struggled to make an impact in his debut season at Ibrox with a return of just five assists and one goal in 26 appearances in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Rangers themselves have placed in third for the season and will take on fourth place St. Johnstone on the final day of the season on Sunday afternoon.
In other Rangers news, a manager has confirmed Pedro Caixinha held talks with this 63-time capped international.
