Nico Jackson and Trevoh Chalobah react to Rafael Leao’s post amid ‘Chelsea boost’

Several Chelsea players have sparked speculation after responding to Rafael Leao’s recent post amid transfer rumours.

The Blues are keen to strengthen their attacking options this summer by adding a new left-winger.

Chelsea chose not to make Jadon Sancho’s loan move permanent last month, instead paying a £5 million penalty to cancel the obligation after failing to agree personal terms.

With options limited on the left flank, the club have intensified their pursuit of a new winger.

Football Insider recently revealed that Chelsea could receive a boost in their long-standing interest in AC Milan’s Rafael Leao this summer.

With the Italian side missing out on Champions League football, they may be forced to sell the winger if the right offer arrives.

Now, speculation has grown after a number of Chelsea players reacted to Leao’s latest social media post.

Chelsea stars respond to Rafael Leao amid exit speculation

Leao is currently enjoying a holiday following a somewhat underwhelming season at AC Milan, though he impressed with Portugal in the Nations League. He posted on Instagram: “Family isn’t just blood.”

Several Chelsea players reacted to the message, with Nicolas Jackson, Trevoh Chalobah, and Malo Gusto all liking the post. Notable responses also came from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.

Despite Chelsea’s strong interest, they face competition for the winger’s signature. Football Insider revealed on 10 June that Liverpool have also expressed interest in signing Leao.

Although he didn’t have his best season, Leao still contributed 12 goals and 13 assists across 50 appearances in all competitions.

While Leao remains a target, the Blues are also pursuing younger options on the wing, in line with Clearlake’s approach ever since their arrival.

Chelsea had multiple bids for Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens rejected before the Club World Cup registration deadline.

With personal terms reportedly agreed, Chelsea are expected to continue their pursuit throughout the summer window, though it remains to be seen when they will make a final decision on who their new left-winger will be.
