Nicolas Jackson and Cucurella react to Moises Caicedo’s ‘one more’ message to supporters

Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson were among the Chelsea players to respond after Moises Caicedo shared a passionate message following his latest display for Ecuador.

Chelsea ended their campaign in style after clinching a Champions League spot after beating Nottingham Forest on the final day in the top-five race and lifting the Conference League.

Despite Enzo Maresca facing sack pressure towards the end of the season, the Italian silenced any doubts by guiding the Blues to silverware and back into Europe’s top competition.

Caicedo was key for Maresca throughout the season, who capped off the campaign with a goal in their 4-1 win over Real Betis in the Conference League final.

Now on international duty, the Ecuadorian midfielder posted a heartfelt message following Ecuador’s latest performance against Brazil.

Moises Caicedo sends message of motivation after Ecuador’s stalemate with Brazil

With club football on hold, players are now on international duty, as Ecuador played out a goalless draw against Brazil in the latest round of World Cup qualifiers.

Despite the lack of goals, Caicedo remained upbeat, sharing an Instagram post with the caption: “One more step towards the dream.”

The midfielder received plenty of support, with likes from Chelsea teammates Jackson and Cucurella, along with Brighton and Ecuador left-back Pervis Estupinan.

Ecuador currently sit second in the South American qualifying table with 24 points, above the likes of both Brazil and Uruguay, as they gear up to face Peru in their next fixture.

Caicedo has become not only a key player for his country but also a crucial figure at Chelsea, following a significant turnaround in form after a difficult debut season at Stamford Bridge.

His efforts were recognised by supporters as Caicedo was named Chelsea’s Player of the Year for 2024/25 season.

Chelsea set to make decision on Nicolas Jackson after Delap arrival

Although Jackson has remained active and positive on social media, questions have emerged over his future at the club.

Chelsea have already secured the signing of Liam Delap and are reportedly in talks with Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike—moves that may put Jackson’s role under threat.

Fan sentiment has begun to shift as well, with Chelsea supporters calling for Jackson to be sold amid reports linking clubs in Spain with a move for the 23-year-old.

Despite being Maresca’s preferred striker this past season, the addition of two potential new number nines could prompt Chelsea to consider offloading the former Villarreal man.
