Nketiah backed to quit Arsenal in £15m deal after Ornstein update – Campbell
Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal to accept a bid of £10million plus add-ons for Eddie Nketiah before the transfer window shuts.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Highbury favourite claimed the club need to “be smart” and realise the £20million they want for the 22-year-old is unrealistic.
According to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein (23rd August), Crystal Palace and an unnamed Bundesliga side are prepared to pay around £10 million for the England Under-21 international.

However, it is said Arsenal value the striker at double that figure going into the last seven days of the window.
Nketiah is surplus to requirements in north London and has not been named in either of Mikel Arteta’s Premier League matchday squads this season.
He has just one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates.
When asked by Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs for his thoughts on Nketiah’s possible sale, Campbell said:
“Arsenal have to be smart now.
“Nketiah is not the answer and he is not going to get game time. That is the fact of the matter.
“Get what you can for him and move on. Let’s be honest, £20million is unrealistic.

“I think £10million with some add-ons that can take is to £15million would be fair for everyone involved. Job done.
“I’m sure he’s desperate to play and sadly he just isn’t going to get the game time he wants at Arsenal.”
